After your breakfast, you will start your tour with a Kigali city tour and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Later after lunch, you will be transferred to Musanze, the home of mountain gorillas. The journey north passes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that characterize much of Rwanda’s landscape and gradually climbs to the base of the Virunga Volcanoes. You'll enjoy your afternoon cultural activities at Gorilla Guardians, the former Ibyiwacu Cultural Village.

On this special day, you will have the rare opportunity to observe the famous Rwandan mountain gorillas. Tracking the gorillas through the forested slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. You will get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for lunch. Upon arrival at the lodge for lunch, you will enjoy lunch at the hotel or in a local restaurant in Musanze City. On this day, you will depart for golden monkeys trekking to observe the famous Rwandan mountain in the Volcanoes National Park. You'll enjoy lunch in the local restaurant before you depart from the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes and drive to the shore of Lake Kivu in Karongi.

After breakfast, you will start your morning boat cruise exploring different Islands located in the lake. On this day, you will drive to Nyungwe National Park at an altitude of 1600-2950m above sea level, this mountainous rainforest reserve is rich in flora and fauna, with over 260 species of trees and shrubs, and over 100 types of orchid and giant lobelia alone. As well as incredible biodiversity, the park also has breathtaking views. On arrival, you will have lunch with an afternoon canopy walk adventure. During your hike, you may also spot migratory birdlife including the Ross’ turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow hawk, and regal sunbird. After lunch, you will spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge.

On this day, you will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a thrilling hike in search of chimpanzee communities. The Rwandan chimpanzee population is thought to consist of approx. 400-500 individuals, confined to the Nyungwe National Park, including a small community in the Cyamudongo Forest. Prepare to hear these excitable primates before you see them, as their pant-hoots travel through the deep forest. After this experience, you will have your afternoon tea plantation experiences with the local community in Gisakura. You'll relax at your property and enjoy your lodge amenities.

On this day, you will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a thrilling hike in search of Colobus monkey communities. During your hike, you may also spot migratory birdlife including the Ross’ turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow hawk, and regal sunbird. After lunch, you will spend the afternoon transferring to Kigali City. On your way, you will also experience Rwandan culture at the former Mwami Palace (King’s Palace) in Nyanza. You will transfer to Kigali.
