Highlights

• Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls (via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary)
• Morning: Pick up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Drive north through the Luwero triangle.
• Stopover: Most 3-day itineraries on this route include a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda to track wild White Rhinos on foot.
• Afternoon: Lunch stop (usually in Masindi town).
• Arrival: Enter the park and drive to the Top of the Falls. Here, you witness the entire Nile River squeezing through a 7-meter narrow gorge, creating a massive roar and a permanent rainbow.
• Overnight: Check-in at your selected lodge (ranges from Budget to Luxury).
• Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise
• Morning: Early breakfast followed by a game drive on the Northern Bank of the Nile.
• What to look for: Elephants, Rothschild Giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards (if lucky), Jackson’s Hartebeest, and Oribis.
• Afternoon: After lunch, you will take a Boat Cruise upstream on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls.
• Highlights: This is a birdwatcher's paradise. You will likely see huge concentrations of Hippos and Nile Crocodiles basking on the banks.
• Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
• Day 3: Return to Kampala
• Morning: Breakfast and check-out. Depending on the schedule, there might be a short game drive as you exit the park.
• Drive: Journey back to Kampala.
• Drop-off: You are usually dropped off at your hotel or the airport in the late afternoon/evening.
