This immersive 3-day safari takes you from Kigali, Rwanda, to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda for a thrilling gorilla trekking experience, followed by relaxation at the stunning Lake Bunyonyi. The journey blends wildlife encounters, scenic landscapes, cultural interactions, and lakeside serenity before returning to Kigali.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, crossing the Rwanda-Uganda border at Gatuna/Katuna. The journey showcases Rwanda’s rolling hills and Uganda’s lush countryside, with a brief stop in Kabale town for refreshments.
Upon arrival at your lodge near Bwindi, you'll check in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you can opt for a cultural walk to meet the Batwa Pygmies, learning about their forest traditions. After dinner, you'll receive a briefing on the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a trekking briefing. You'll embark on your gorilla trek, hiking through dense forest to find a habituated gorilla family. You'll spend one unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures before returning to the lodge for lunch.
Later, you'll drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake, and check in at a lakeside lodge.

You'll wake up to serene lake views and breakfast. You'll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise, visiting islands like Punishment Island. After check out, you'll drive back to Kigali, crossing the Uganda-Rwanda border. If time allows, you'll visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or Kimironko Market before drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
